Discover why Kansas City locals and visitors make our brewery a must-stop destination.
When you’re exploring the vibrant Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City, you’ll find plenty to see. Nothing pairs better with art, culture, and good company than a fresh pint at Border Brewing Company. Since 2015, we’ve been serving the community with small-batch craft beer, creative cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime regular, here are five reasons to make our taproom your next stop.
1. Unmatched Craft Beer Selection
We brew with passion and precision, offering a rotating menu of IPAs, stouts, lagers, and specialty beers you can only find here. From the refreshing Strawberry Blonde Ale to the bright and tangy Lima Fresca, each pour is crafted in-house with locally inspired flavors. You’ll also find Kansas City’s first craft non-alcoholic beer series, the Baseline line, perfect for anyone wanting the taste of beer without the buzz. If you’ve ever wondered why two beers with the same grain taste nothing alike, it’s the yeast.

2. A Full Bar for Every Taste
We may be a brewery, but beer isn’t your only option. Our full bar offers handcrafted cocktails, crisp hard ciders, and refreshing hard seltzers — all designed to keep every guest happy. Whether you’re in the mood for a citrusy cocktail, a locally inspired cider, or something light and bubbly, our bartenders have you covered.

3. The $5 Value Menu — Better Than Happy Hour
Looking for the perfect after-work hangout? We retired happy hour, and what replaced it is better: a $5 Value Menu that runs open to close, seven days a week. Three rotating craft pours, five dollars each, no clock to watch and no fine print. Show up at 2 PM on a Sunday or 8 PM on a Wednesday — same price either way.
That’s the part most people don’t expect. A traditional happy hour rewards you for arriving in a two-hour window somebody else picked. We’d rather just charge a fair price all the time.

4. A Spacious Outdoor Patio
Kansas City has some gorgeous days, and our patio is the perfect place to enjoy them. The Backyard — our beer garden patio — sits under a canopy of mature shade trees, with string lights, benches built around the trunks, and room for up to 80 people. It’s ideal for sipping a cold beer, catching up with friends, or booking the whole space for a private event. Located in the lively Crossroads, our outdoor space puts you right in the middle of the neighborhood’s buzzing energy, especially on First Fridays. Here’s the full guide to the patio.

5. A Community Hub in the Crossroads
Border Brewing isn’t just a place to drink, it’s a place to connect. From local food pop-ups to trivia nights, Industry Night, Test Batch Thursday, and First Friday celebrations, our taproom is a hub for Kansas City’s craft beer lovers, artists, and neighbors. Every visit offers something new, and our friendly staff makes you feel like part of the family.

Plan Your Visit
You’ll find us in the heart of Kansas City’s Crossroads Arts District, just steps away from galleries, shops, and the city’s best dining. Whether you’re stopping in after work, exploring First Fridays, or looking for a great weekend hangout, we’re here to pour you something you’ll love.
