Shiftie is our flagship IPA — the beer that put Border Brewing on the map and is still one of the most ordered pours every night of the week.
Brewed with several hop varieties layered through the boil and dry-hopping, Shiftie is designed to be well-balanced rather than aggressively bitter. Subtle citrus, gentle spice, and pine-resin hop notes weave through a rich and complex malt backbone that carries the 8% ABV like it is half that.
It is a beer that respects both ends of the IPA spectrum. Crisp and clean enough for hop-forward drinkers. Smooth and round enough for people who think they do not like IPAs (you will).
